The Revenant Starring Leonardo Dicaprio

The Revenant

The Revenant

Sitting in the theater watching The Revenant I had no idea what I was in store for. From the advertisement posters and online ads I was expecting to see a good Viking movie. I love going in blind. All I can say is WOW! My biggest problem with this movie was trying not to scream “Oh Shit” over and over in the theater waiting to be escorted out. I was on the edge of my seat. Leonardo Dicaprio’s appearance was as fresh and realistic as the first time I seen him in “What’s eating Gilbert Grape.” I like going in raw and this film kept me on the edge of my seat. I apologize to the twelve other viewers in the theater that kept shushing me.

A revenant is a visible ghost or animated corpse that was believed to return from the grave to terrorize the living. The word “revenant” is derived from the Latin word, reveniens, “returning”.
